The story
Don's Restaurant and Coffee Shop, 509 S. Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, from 1947 until it closed in 2002. One panel of its neon sign is at the Valley Relics Museum and the other is at the Gordon R. Howard Museum. The brush Don's with the chef in the D and RESTAURANT AND COFFEE SHOP are traced from the restaurant's menu cover; only the address line is re-set.
