The story
Leon's Steak House and Coffee Shop, 10945 Victory Blvd. at Vineland, North Hollywood. It opened in 1945 and closed in July 2003; a CVS stands there now. The pole sign is redrawn from photos shared by the Valley Relics Museum: LEON'S in five letter pillows, the STEAK HOUSE boxes and the COFFEE SHOP shield, with LEON'S and COFFEE SHOP traced from the sign and STEAK HOUSE fitted letter by letter to it.
