The story
Devonshire Downs, 18000 Devonshire St., Northridge: a harness track from 1946, then the San Fernando Valley Fair grounds and, from the 1960s, part of San Fernando Valley State College (now CSUN). It hosted the Newport '69 festival. The pediment sign is redrawn and its Devonshire Downs lettering traced from a 1960s rental flyer in CSUN's Special Collections; the flyer's own tagline is re-set in a matching script.
